Membership in the Rockville Sail and Power Squadron is more than the numerous product discounts that you receive as a US Power Squadrons member. The true benefits are the friendships and education that you develop and acquire.
We are a social organization dedicated to meeting our members´ interests. Members come from all professions with one common denominator: safe boating. Our regular meetings, both on the water and on land, are designed to encourage safe boating practices and improve each member´s enjoyment of boating. Need crew, or maybe just have a question on how to paint your boat? A member can help. Want to hear from an adventurer about a circumnavigation? Come to one of our meeting/dinners.
Our educational opportunities and materials are unsurpassed. Many of our members´ courses are taught by instructors who have special interests in various boating topics. Don´t have the time to spare to take a classroom session? Then, you have the option to self-study any course, at your own pace, in the USPS. Finally, our materials are written and researched by specialists in the field: many items have been published commercially.
